Motorola (now a subsidiary of Lenovo) has silently launched a new Moto G (Gen 2) smartphone in Brazil with a couple of upgrades. The new second generation Moto G variant comes with a bigger battery capacity and advanced 4G-LTE network support capability.

It houses 2390 mAh battery, whereas the normal 3G model houses 2070 mAh cell. Other key specifications of the device remain same. Moto G (Gen 2) LTE sports 5.0-inch HD (720x1280p) display and run on the Android 4.4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.

Under the hood, it houses a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 series Quad-core processor, Adreno 305 graphic engine

As of now, Moto G (Gen 2) LTE has been listed at Motorola Brazil website [HERE]. However, the price and availability details of the new phone variant are still under wraps.

Will the new Moto G (Gen 2.) LTE make its debut in India?

Early this month, Motorola Mobility chief, Rick Osterloh in a chat with Indian business media house, The Economic Times, said that the company will be aggressive to make it to the top 3 smartphone makers' chart in India by 2015 end and in that order, it has plans to introduce a value-added affordable 4G phone next year.

"The transition to 4G will be quick. Next year, we are going to be very aggressive in the 4G value proposition for end users," he said.

Going by the recent statement from the company head Rick Osterloh's statement, we believe that the new Moto G (Gen 2) LTE model is most likely to hit Indian market soon and we can also expect the second generation Moto E slated for next year to support 4G network as well.
