Moto Z2 Play images and specs leak via TENAA

Freshly leaked images of Moto Z2 Play have surfaced online as the folks at TENAA have published the images and specifications of the upcoming flagship handset. It is evident through the leaked images that the handset will retain the basic design elements seen in Moto Z Play with some subtle feature changes.

One noteworthy change on the Z2 Play is that the oval shaped home button replaces the square home button from the Moto Z Play. The camera bump is still evident on the flagship phone bearing the new model number XT1710-08.

Moto Z2 Play comes with a smaller 2820mAh battery as opposed to 3510mAh battery on its predecessor.

It is confirmed that Motorola has resorted to a downgraded battery capacity in order to attain a slimmer profile for the Z2 Play. Consequently, the handset now measures just 5.99mm in thickness as opposed to the Moto Z which is 7mm thick.

Among other noteworthy features confirmed by TENAA, the Moto Z2 Play is expected to come with a 5.5in full HD OLED panel, 64GB internal storage and 4GB of RAM. The handset will be powered by the latest Snapdragon 630 chipset.

Z2 Play is expected to retail at 4000CNY with an estimated release date set for June. Meanwhile, check out the leaked images for the Moto Z2 Play (below):
