Google has come up with a special doodle to honour all mothers on 10 May as part of the Mother's Day.

The doodle not only showcases the human mother's love for her offspring, but also it shows the mother-baby bond all over the animal world.

The second 'O' of Google works as a play button and on clicking, it takes the user on a heart-melting tour. It begins by showing a duck protecting its young one under her wings, then it transforms into a cub, which is taken care of by its mother. Then it turns into a rabbit, onto which four young ones jump over.

The last animation is that of a human mother, wherein her child runs towards her and hugs her. The mother then plants a kiss on the child's forehead.

However, different countries celebrate the day on different dates, but for India, Canada, Australia and Brazil, it is the second Sunday of May.

Mother's Day started in the United States in 1908, when Anna Jarvis, started a campaign to give a recognition to this day. Eventually, in 1914, it was observed as an official holiday in the US.
