South Korean drama Moonlight Drawn by Clouds aired the finale episode on October 18, but the show continues to make headlines even after going off the air. The Korea Communications Standards Commission (KCSC) has highlighted two issues that involve minor in the show.

The KCSC has declared their verdict on the kissing scene and the changing scene featuring minors in the Moonlight Drawn by Clouds show. One of the scenes feature, Kim Yoo Jung's character, Hong Ra On, is shown wrapping her chest with bandages to look like a boy. The second scene features Park Bo Gum (Lee Yeong) and Kim Yoo Jung (Hong Ra On) kissing.

According to the KCSC, both the scenes are in the limelight because the female protagonist is a minor. Viewers have also raised complaints saying that Kim Yoo is a minor.

On October 19, the KCSC announced that they will issue an official statement to KBS, the channel that aired Moonlight Drawn by Clouds, regarding the scenes. "Fundamentally speaking, it is wrong to cast a minor when there is a revealing scene or kiss scene in the script. If an adult had performed these scenes, there would be no problem at all," the KCSC explained, according to Soompi.com.

According to the broadcast standards and laws, anyone below the age of 19 is a minor and since Yoo Jung has been just 16-year-old she cannot feature in such scenes. "The biggest problem is whether a minor can play an adult role. One might say that since the standards are ambiguous anyway, why not just let it go, but if we go easy on Kim Yoo Jung, who is 16 years and 10 months, then later on, there will be questions on whether we should let a 15-year-old do the same thing. We need to discuss whether we can continue to let minors play adult roles. We are worried about young adults being provocatively exposed," the KCSC stated.
