Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor Khan's feisty on-screen chemistry is something every director wants to cash in on. The fans also have been waiting for these two to come together on the big screen.

If the reports are to be believed, Hrithik is all set to begin work on his next film with Kareena sometime in January 2016. Leading web portal 9xe.com stated that director Sanjay Gupta visited the leading lady's Bandra residence (Mumbai) to discuss the project.

The sources have also revealed how the suave actor has pushed Yash Raj Films' "Thug" to April to accommodate his dad Rakesh Roshan's home production.

"The film was to start in January 2016, but now will start only in April. Hrithik wanted to prepone his dad Rakesh Roshan's home production directed by Sanjay Gupta as he loved how the script has developed. Thug is said to be inspired from Johnny Depp's character Jack Sparrow from the Pirates Of The Caribbean series and will be shot on a specially-constructed ship at YRF Studios," Bollywood Life quoted an insider as saying.

Although there has been no official announcement as yet, there are plenty reports hinting at the possible association. Last month, a source told DNA that Rakesh has been planning on making a small budget film with his son.

"There are concepts which he's very excited about and currently he's finalising one. For him, cinema is at a phase where one can do these kind of films and still be successful at the box-office," the source further elaborated.

In other news, this isn't the first time that there has been news of the two coming together. Earlier, there were conjectures that Hrithik and Kareena were signed on for Tanuja Chandra's "Chitthiyan".

Hrithik will next be seen in Ashutosh Gowariker's "Mohenjo Daro", which is set to hit screens in August 2016.
