The audience in Kerala are awaiting the release of movies Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol and Jomonte Suviseshangal. The family entertainers are among the much awaited projects of the year for being the films of Mohanlal and Dulquer Salmaan, respectively.

Though the confusion regarding the release date of both the movies is yet to be resolved, they have completed the censorship formalities. Both the entertainers have been certified with clean U certificates by the regional censor board in Kerala.

Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol

The Jibu Jacob directorial marks the reunion of Drishyam-pair Mohanlal and Meena. "Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol is censored with a clean U certificate. The love is going to be a family matter [sic]," the team of Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol posted, while sharing the censor certificate of the film with a duration of 2 hour-34-minute-42-second.

The team had earlier announced that the Mohanlal-starrer will hit the screens as a Christmas release on December 22, however, due to the theatre strike in Kerala, it is still unknown if the December releases will be postponed. It has to be noted that in the recently released poster, the makers have added that Munthirivallikal Thalirkkumbol is a Christmas release, hinting that it is likely to be released in December itself.

Jomonte Suviseshangal

Young star Dulquer Salmaan had recently announced that his upcoming movie Jomonte Suviseshangal has bagged U certificate from the censor board. "Jomonte Suviseshangal Censored with clean 'U' certificate :)[sic]," the actor posted on his social media page. The Sathyan Anthikad directorial, which was earlier scheduled for release on December 16, was postponed due to the tiff between the producers and distributors associations in Kerala.

However, latest rumours suggest that the movie, which also stars Mukesh, Anupama Parameshwaran, Innocent and Aishwarya Rajesh in main roles, is likely to be released on December 23, if the theatre strike is resolved in the meeting that is being held on December 20.
