Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is all set to make a mark in the Tollywood entertainment industry with his upcoming Telugu project. The actor shared a photo of him writing something with the caption, "Learning Telugu", on his Facebook page on Tuesday, 29 December. His dedication and commitment towards the acting profession is evident from his efforts to learn the language.

Telugu superstar Venkatesh Daggubati commented on the photo, welcoming Mohanlal to the industry. "Welcome to the Telugu film industry Mr. Mohanlal," reads Daggubati's comment.

Mohanlal begins shooting of Manamantha

Mohanlal will next be seen in the Telugu-Malayalam bilingual film that will be directed by National Film Award winner Chandra Sekhar Yeleti. The movie, titled "Manamantha", is produced by Sai Korrapati under the banner of Varahi Chalana Chitra Productions.

"Manamantha" marks the comeback of Mohanlal and Gautami Tadimalla after their 1997 blockbuster hit film "Iruvar", directed by Mani Ratnam. They have also acted together in the Malayalam film "His Highness Abdullah" in 1990.

The movie also has SP Balasubramaiam, Naresh, Urvasi and Nedumudi Venu in pivotal roles and it is Mohanlal's second outing in Telugu after Balakrishna's 1994 film "Gaandivam", in which he had appeared in the song "Goruvanka". The song also featured Nandamuri Balakrishna and the legendary late actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao.

With Mohanlal enjoying a huge fan following in Andhra Pradesh as many of his hit movies are being dubbed into Telugu, the upcoming Telugu project of the superstar is expected to create wonders at the Telugu box office.
