Home-bred smartphone maker YU Televentures Ltd (a subsidiary of Micromax) has announced the sale of its flagship mid-range handset Yureka via open sales next week.

The company (via Twitter) confirmed  that the YU Yureka open sale will go live on 6 May and end on 7 May on Amazon India.

This welcome move by the company will certainly cheer the fans, who have failed to get their hands on the Yureka. This feature-rich smartphone has largely been elusive for the buyers, despite being on sale for three months thanks to the dubious marketing strategy of flash sales.

But with this announcement, prospective buyers can now bag the phone just by logging in to the online shop anytime during the 48-hour window between 6 and 7 May, without any registration.

To recap, Micromax YU Yureka sports a 5.5-inch HD screen and is powered by the 64-bit class Snapdragon 615 Octa-core SoC (System on Chip), 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt memory, 13mp camera on the rear side, a 5mp snapper on the front and a 2500 mAh (Lithium-Polymer) battery which can run the phone for close to 210 hours under standby mode.

In a related development, YU Televentures Ltd have confirmed the launch of new smartphone Yuphoria later this month on 12 May.

Expected Features of Micromax YU Yuphoria (Project Caesar):

As per our previous reports, Yuphoria is expected to be priced under ₹7,000 and is poised to take on the Chinese rival Xiaomi Redmi 2.

YU's next smartphone Project Caesar is said to ship with 2GB RAM, 64-bit class SoC (System on Chip), Cyanogen 12 (Android 5.0 Lollipop) OS and 16GB inbuilt memory. Other features like camera and battery capacity are yet to be ascertained. We will keep you updated on YU's new phone as soon as we get the details.
