Mercedes-Benz India is all set to pull the wraps off its high performance sports car AMG GT in India on Tuesday, 24 November.

Mercedes-AMG GT S, the powerful AMG will be powered by 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that can churn out 503bhp of power at 6250rpm and 650Nm of peak torque between 1750rpm to 4750rpm. The engine will come paired to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and the car runs from 0-100kmph in just 3.8 seconds before attaining a top speed of 310kmph.

The car, which features longer bonnet and stylish rear-end sheds the gull wing doors of its predecessor for a regular door and gets double-wishbone suspension with electronically controlled damping.

AMG GT, the second sports car to be completely developed by the Mercedes-AMG engineers at Affalterbach, Germany, will be brought to India as completely built unit (CBU). Mercedes AMG GT S is the fifth high performance AMG car launched in India this year and the car will replace the company's successful SLS AMG.
