The feud between McCarthy cousins –Melissa and Jenny – is once again out in the open, after a new report claims that Melissa has no intention of attending her cousin's wedding, even if she was invited.

The feud between the two dates back to Melissa's early years in the television industry.

Reportedly, Jenny advised Melissa to shed some pounds to be successful in the business, and Melissa did not take too kindly to the advice.

This comment is said to have reinforced Melissa's resolve to not conform to Hollywood's unrealistic size standards.

"That really hurt Melissa, and now she's having the last laugh," said a National Enquirer source, according to Radar Online. "She's proving you don't need to be a size 2 with fake boobs to make it!"

Since then, the two haven't been in each other's good books, and the formerly close cousins have not been in contact either, reports indicate.

"The cousins were close at one time, but they've grown distant over the past few years," the source said.

Recently, when Melissa was on Howard Stern's radio show, she admitted that she wouldn't be attending Jenny's wedding saying, "we are on opposite worlds now…" referring to Jenny living in New York City and her living in Los Angeles.

Jenny later came on the radio show to admit that she will be inviting her cousin for the wedding. However, that wasn't a part of her original plan, the Enquirer source said.

"Before Howard put her on the spot, Jenny had no desire to invite Melissa to her wedding.

"Jenny feels she helped Melissa get a leg up in the business. But now that Melissa's career is skyrocketing, Jenny feels [Melissa] doesn't have time for her."

Melissa's career has been on an upward swing in recent times, and last year, a number of industry heads voted her as one of the most bankable female actresses, alongside Sandra Bullock.

Despite the success, most fashion houses have been slow in embracing the actress, and she recently revealed that designers have refused to dress her.

"Two Oscars ago, I couldn't find anybody to do a dress for me. I asked five or six designers—very high-level ones who make lots of dresses for people—and they all said no," she told Redbook magazine, according to Mamamia.

"I don't understand why if you're a certain size, designers think your taste level goes down and you have less money to spend. The quality and construction is often so bad. Finding a great t-shirt or a great cigarette pant in a good fabric is next to impossible. Plus-size clothes are often really cheap and either look young or incredibly old," she noted.
