Here are the reviews of "Meagamann" by critics:

"We have seen a lot of undercover cop stories in Tamil, and director Magizh Thirumeni has tried to present one in his style. The initial sequences that reveal about the main characters in the film are interesting, especially the scene in which Arya is shown shooting the target. The movie has some gritty sequences, that might excite the action genre lovers. One scene that really makes one sit up is when Arya narrates a fictitious story to save his life. Watch out for it! – Iflickz.com

"The initial sequences that reveal about the main characters in the film are interesting, especially the scene in which Arya is shown shooting the target. Camera work is excellent. Arya did his best and he suited for the undercover cop role. Hansika looks beautiful. Her role in this film is limited. Ashutosh Rana who plays antagonist role is good in his role. Remaining cast of the film is okay in their respective roles."- Iluvcinema.com

"From the purpose of begin and from the point to the end credits, Meaghamann is a lock stock and done activity performer. Story begins right from the first scene and goes in an unfaltering pace till the end. Magizh has not traded off with undesirable punch dialogs, comedies and un reasonable gallantry and has given precisely what the story requested. Characterization has assumed a significant part in the motion picture, were everybody's character has been decently planned and overall potrayed."- Radiopetti.com
