The audio of Surya starrer "Masss" has hit stores. While the audio of a movie is usually released through a function these days, makers of the movie released the album directly to stores.

However, the makers evidently have some different promotion strategy up their sleeve this time. Even though no major function was organised for the album release, every song of the movie will have its premiere on different radio stations.
The artists and technicians will be releasing songs one by one on five different radio stations between 9 am and 5 pm. This is considered as a smart move to promote the album and to generate curiosity about it.
Confirming the same, journalist Sreedhar Pillai tweeted, "#Masss songs 2 b premiered 1 by 1 by its artists & technicians -9am Friday says @ErosNowSouth. iTunes & CD's by eve."

Yuvan Shankar Raja has created music for "Masss". The album has five songs sung by Shankar Mahadevan, Ranjith, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Karthik, Chinmayi, Pooja and Vaikom Vijayalakshmi. Madhan Karky and Gangai Amaren have penned the lyrics.
"Masss" stars Surya and Nayantara in lead roles. Pranitha plays second fiddle in the Tamil movie, which has Jayaram, Premji Amaren, Parthiban, Samuthikirani, Karunas, Sriman, Sanjay Bharathi and others are in the cast.
The forthcoming film is directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by KE Gnanavel Raja along with Surya. However, the movie, which was supposed to release in May, is likely to be postponed. The film is expected to hit screens in June.
