Mary Ellen Trainor, who appeared in all the "Leathal Weapon" movies and "The Goonies", died of Pancreatic cancer on 20 May. She was at 62. The news was confirmed by Trainor's friend and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy on 8 June, 2015.

The Hollywood Reporter reported that the actress died at her home in Mentecito, California. Trainor, who was married to Oscar winner Robert Zemeckis appeared in all the movies he directed, including "Back to the Future Part II", "Forrest Gump" and "Death Becomes Her", before they got divorced in 2000.

A memorial service will be held for Trainor at 11 am on Friday, 19 June, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Montecito.
