It is perhaps the worst kept secret that Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest car maker, is preparing a facelift for its popular Swift Dzire sedan.

Auto enthusiasts in the country have already heard plenty about Dzire facelift and now coming your way is a fresh spy shot of the sedan. The biggest hint of what to expect and hopes of an early launch come from the latest images shared by GaadiWaadi revealing the much-awaited sedan with the barest of disguise.

Expected to hit Indian roads this year, with March touted as the probable launch date, the new Dzire facelift is basically a copy of the existing version, but with minor changes both inside and outside.

A recent report suggested that the current version of Dzire is still in production and this could lead to the delay of new facelift model.

Speaking of the changes, the Swift Dzire facelift is expected to get redesigned headlamps and single chrome slat on the grille. There reportedly is also chrome fog lamp inserts and new alloy wheels on the menu.

As far as the engine is concerned, the power will come from the same 1.2-litre K-Series petrol and 1.3-litre multijet diesel engines of the current model, but with a better fuel efficiency.

Other expected features include electrically adjustable wing mirrors, new upholstery, push start/stop button and six-speaker sound system with Bluetooth and iPod compatibility music system.

Competing against the likes of Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent and Tata Zest in India, the soon-to-be-launched Maruti Swift Dzire facelift is speculated to carry a price tag in the range of ₹5 to ₹8 lakh.
