The launch date of Maruti's Ciaz sedan is yet to be revealed, but we have already seen the car in various states through spy shots and leaked images.

A fresh batch of spy shots of Ciaz has now hit the web and this time the car was caught on camera during a photoshoot with Bollywood's popular figure Ranveer Singh. In the latest images posted by Rushlane the Ciaz is seen virtually undisguised.

Ciaz, Maruti's newest offering in the sedan segment is expected to reach the domestic market in September. The company has already started the pre-launch campaign for Ciaz and the vehicle has also made its appearance on Maruti's website. Looking at the latest developments, it appears that Maruti is all set to unveil its new model.

The Ciaz is likely to hit the market in six variants: three petrol variants - VXi, VXi+, ZXi and three diesel variants - VDi, VDi+ and ZDi and is expected to include features like steering-mounted audio controls, reverse parking sensors, ABS, height adjustable driver's seat, rear AC vents, driver arm rest and electrically-adjustable mirrors.

On the mechanical front, the petrol version of Ciaz will get 1.4 litre K series (K14B) petrol, which can generate a power of 95 PS power and 130 Nm peak torque and the diesel version will be powered by 1.3 litre DDIS diesel motor that can pump out 90 PS power and 200 Nm peak torque. The transmission is likely to come from CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission).

From what we have heard so far, the Ciaz is likely to fall in the price range of ₹7.2 lakh - ₹10.5 lakh and when in the market Ciaz will compete with Hyundai Verna, Honda City and Volkswagen Vento.
