Maruti Suzuki is reportedly planning to launch face-lifted Ciaz sedan in April 2017. Launched in early 2014, the Ciaz has become of the best selling sedans and continues to give tough competition to the Honda City. In the latest avatar, it will be more premium in terms of features.

The new Ciaz will come with updated new front grille, tweaked bumper and the addition of LED daytime running lights. The sedan will get newly designed alloy wheels while top-spec version will boast of electronic sunroof reports Gaadiwaadi. Rear end will also get nip and tuck to complement changes up front. On the inside, top variants may come with all black colored upholstery and a new infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay.

Mechanically, expect the upgraded Ciaz to remain the same as the current model. Currently, Ciaz is powered by the 1,373cc petrol unit that develops 91bhp at 6,000rpm and 130Nm of torque at 4,000rpm mated to five-speed manual transmission. The petrol variant is also available with four-speed automatic transmission. The diesel unit comes equipped with a small hybrid system with 1,248cc displacement and develops 89bhp at 4,000rpm and 200Nm of torque at 1,750rpm.
