Maruti Suzuki is getting ready to launch its new premium hatchback Baleno in the Indian market soon. The model, which is currently undergoing its final test runs on Indian roads, has already made numerous appearances on the web in the form of spy shots and real-life photos.

The latest one is a video of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno from a YouTube user who calls himself/herself Auto Speed. The Baleno prototype was caught on camera while undergoing testing in Gurgaon. The video reveals that the upcoming Maruti premium hatchback has quite a good road presence.

Under the hood, the Maruti Baleno will pack the company's newly-developed 1.0-litre Boosterjet direct injection turbocharged petrol engine and 1.3-litre DDiS diesel motors along with the SHVS mild-hybrid system debuted with Ciaz hybrid.

In term of dimensions, Maruti Baleno measures 3,995mm in length, 1,745mm in width and 1,470mm in height. Maruti is expected to launch Baleno, the company's answer to Hyundai Elite i20 and New Honda Jazz, in India in October.

Rumours floating on the web suggest that the launch of Baleno hatchback will take place on 26 October. In India, Maruti will sell the new Baleno through its premium dealership chain Nexa. Nexa currently sells Maruti's premium crossover S-Cross.
