Maruti Alto K10 AMT, the next big ticket from the country's largest car maker is all set to make its debut in the domestic market soon. And days ahead of its possible launch in India, the car has been spied again with a test drive badge on it.
Thanks to the folks at GaadiWaadi for the latest spy shots. In the images, K10 AMT is seen being loaded onto a truck, indicating that the shipment of the new Alto model has begun. The report also hints that the launch of the vehicle could happen in the country on 3 November.
Maruti Alto K10 AMT, touted to be the cheapest automatic car in the country is the second AMT offering of Maruti after Celerio AMT. An earlier report had hinted that the on-road price of the upcoming K10 will be in the range of ₹4.75 lakh, which is about ₹25,000 cheaper than Celerio.
Under the hood, the car is expected to get 1.0-litre three-cylinder K-Series engine, which can churn out a power of 68PS and a peak torque of 90Nm. The car is expected to get both AMT and five-speed manual gearboxes for transmission.
The other features expected in the new Alto K10 AMT include body-coloured ORVMs, wheel caps, door protection mouldings, central-locking, front power-windows and rear parcel-tray. It will also bear styling changes like a re-worked front bumper, new engine grille and newly styled headlamps.
The pre-order for Alto K10 AMT has begun in the country across the company's dealerships with an advance payment of ₹10,000.
