The Manchu family is known for its generous nature and charity works. Here is another example for it. Actor Mohan Babu's younger son Manchu Manoj has gone on to help the victims of disastrous cyclone Hudhud, putting the release of his much-awaited film "Current Theega" on hold.

Hudhud, which hit the Andhra coast on Sunday, 12 October, has damaged buildings, uprooted trees, electricity poles, cut off communication, transport network and power supply. It has also killed 24 people and injured several others. The people are struggling to get milk, water and power that are needed for routine life.

Seeing the plight of the people in Vizag, Manchu Manoj tweeted on 13 October, "#CurrentTheega Postponed due to the Cyclone... Me my friends and fans r going to vizag to help as much as we can.. Details in some tym..." Meanwhile, he also spoke about his plans to help the victims and requested his fans to join him. He wrote, "Planning how to go and everything .. Will update u guys the plan and everyone r welcome to help Vizag and join us :)"

Soon after he made this announcement, several of his friends and fans came forward to extend their support to him.

He tweeted on Tuesday: "Getting all supplies ready.. my friends from all over r coming fwd to help. Let's all together help our brothers and sisters who need us now. He added, "Will let u know when we are ready to go ... Thanking you all for sending your nums.. will call everyone.. God Bless your Hearts :)"

Meanwhile, he also requested everyone to stop buying crackers this Diwali and use that money to help the victims. The actor tweeted, "Dear ppl.. Instead of buying crackers this time let's spend money for supplies like Water, biscuits, candles, cloths, rice, milk, stoves etc. Let us all be responsible ... Let us help ourselves to be better humans :)"

There are many stars in Tollywood, who have expressed their sadness over the sad plight of the people and have also prayers for them. But only a few of them got into action and came forward to help the people.
