It is quite clear that with every passing game Manchester United are finding their groove going forward. Such is the attacking talent at Louis Van Gaal's disposal, that it is near impossible for the squad not to start banging in the goals, and the more familiar they get with each other, the better the understanding will be, and with it the goals will flow.

Manchester United, in the first half, in particular, against Chelsea played some nice attacking football, with that wonderful pass from Juan Mata for Angel Di Maria to volley first time being a case in point.

With Wayne Rooney, despite an injury scare, and Radamel Falcao, who missed the Chelsea clash with a knock, expected to return for the Manchester Derby against Manchester City on Sunday, United left-back Luke Shaw expects the team's attack to reach "scary" point pretty soon.

"I don't think we are playing our best at the moment, although you saw bits against Chelsea," Shaw was quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.

"It will take time, but when we are all on form, I think we are going to be a scary team to face."

It remains to be seen if Manchester United find their attacking mojo against Manchester City at the Etihad, having been on the receiving end of a few heavy defeats at the hands of their neighbours in recent seasons.

With ten points still separating the club from league leaders Chelsea, Van Gaal will know Manchester United cannot afford to keep dropping points, and Shaw is of the opinion that if his team can go on a run of victories, then that gap with the Blues will be reduced considerably.

"It's a long season and we're at the start of it so you don't know what will happen during the middle of season," added Shaw.

"We just have to keep winning the games coming up. There will be tough games, but we know we are good enough to win them."

The Old Trafford faithful went berserk after Robin Van Persie earned Manchester United a point against Chelsea with a stoppage time equaliser, and Shaw is confident that comeback will instil some belief into the squad.

"The whole crowd got up and you saw how much it meant to all of us," Shaw, reflecting on the dramatic goal from Van Persie deep into time added on, told the club's official website. "We all jumped on each other. It's a feeling I've never felt before.

"Chelsea was a huge result for us. We never give up and we showed that against them. That does a lot for our belief.

"We spoke in the dressing room and we knew we could have got three points with the chances we had and maybe we could have done a bit better on their goal. But that's football at the end of the day."
