Mahindra has officially kickstarted the countdown for the launch of the company's new mini SUV, TUV300, which is scheduled to break its cover in India on 10 September.

The official website of the company has also teased with another image of TUV300 and the title of the picture reads: "Are you Tough Enough to Win the TUV300," urging customers to participate in the TUV300 contest by answering three questions. Although the unofficial bookings for the new TUV300 are underway in the country, the company confirms that the pre-launch booking will officially kick-start from 1 September (Tuesday).

TUV300, a sub 4-metre, seven-seater SUV, will feature a flat roof, roof rails, short overhangs, body-coloured door handles, door mirrors and bumpers. The model, which is inspired by the battle tank, will feature a new mHawk80 engine under thood, which is expected to be an updated version of the Quanto's 1.5-litre three-cylinder diesel motor.

Inside the cabin, the SUV -- which is also known as the mini-Bolero -- is expected to pack four spoke audio-mounted steering wheels with silver garnish on the lower spoke and an infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity.
