Teaser images are increasingly being used by automobile manufacturers to keep prospective customers in anticipation before launch. In line with the trend, Mahindra had released the sketch image and a left front fender side image of the much-awaited TUV300 compact SUV on its Facebook page earlier.

Now, ahead of the scheduled launch on 10 September, the Utility Vehicle manufacturer has released a new picture of the SUV's interior.

The four spoke steering wheel has a silver garnish on the lower spoke and features controls for audio and Bluetooth. The picture also reveals the instrument cluster that features two prominent dials with chrome bezel. The warning light can also be seen between the dials.

The vehicle gets black and beige interior shade and controls of the electronically adjustable outside rear view mirror can also be seen from the teaser image.

The previous teaser image of the front fender explained how the compact SUV will run on 17-inch Ceat tyres and has sculpted wheel arches. The headlamp will resemble the Bolero headlights and the compact SUV seems to have higher ground clearance.

Previously known as the U301, the vehicle will be built on an all-new platform. Mahindra claims the design of the compact SUV has been inspired by the battle tank.

A ground-up project of the Mahindra design team, the TUV300 will feature a new mHawk80 engine, which is expected to be an updated version of the Quanto's 1.5-litre three-cylinder diesel motor.

Despite being sub 4-metre SUV, the TUV300 will be a seven seater with last row featuring two jump seats facing each other. The compact SUV would be priced at around Rs 7 lakh.
