Home-grown utility vehicle maker Mahindra's upcoming compact SUV, S101, has been spied undergoing tests again, this time in Chennai, adding to the long list of spy shots of the model before its arrival in the market.
Caught on camera by the folks at IndianAutos Blog, the new pictures show a camouflaged prototype of S101. There is nothing much one can pull out from the pictures since the camouflage does a good job of hiding all the details.
Built on an all-new monocoque platform, Mahindra S101, which is otherwise known as KUV100 and XUV100, is expected to make its market debut by the end of this year or early 2016. The SUV has been in the news for quite a while.
As for the engine, S101 is expected to include 1.2 diesel and petrol mills. To be pitted against Maruti Suzuki wagon R, Mahindra S101 is expected to get a 3+3 seating configuration with bench-type seat in the front.
In India, when launched, Mahindra's mini SUV is likely to get a price tag around Rs 4 lakh.
