A new set of spy shots of Mahindra's upcoming compact SUV S101 has emerged online, indicating the arrival of the vehicle in the market soon.

Caught undergoing testing in Chennai, the new spy shots of the Mahindra's S101 reveal the front and rear design of the car.

We do not know for sure if this is just the test mule version of the new SUV, however, the car images show the horizontal tail lamps and rear windscreen wiper.

Like before, the latest test mule spy shots posted by Rushlane is also seen with camouflage, hiding a lot of finer details of the car. But, the slopping roof of the car and the rear wheel with wheel cover can be seen.

Based on a new monocoque platform, the upcoming Mahindra SUV is expected to reach Indian shores in 2015. While we do not have the details of the engine specifications of the vehicle, but rumours are that Mahindra's newly developed 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine and 1.5-litre three-cylinder mCR100 unit will power the new sub four-metre compact SUV.

The model is expected to include features like auto climate-control, steering-mounted buttons for infotainment system along with safety features like Ant-ilock Braking System, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, four airbags and Electronic Stability Programme.

There have also been rumours that the Mahindra will christen its new SUV as XUV 300 and will position below XUV 500. When launched, the SUV will be pinned to rival Ford EcoSport and upcoming Volkswagen Taigun and if reports are to be believed the company will price it within the ₹5-7 lakh brackets.

Mahindra is also gearing up to launch the facelift of its iconic Scorpio in India. Though the company is tight-lipped on the availability of this new variant, the emerging reports suggest an October arrival.

The Facelift Scorpio has been spied testing in the country numerous times. From what we know so far, the Scorpio facelift will sport features like automatic climate control, rectangular design central consoles, AC vents, steering-mounted controls for audio and cruise control.
