When Mahindra two wheelers launched its Mojo in October this year, the company had promised that the 300cc will be arriving in India any time and now, it looks like the motor enthusiasts do not have to wait too long to get their hands on the new version of Mojo with Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS).

The good chaps at MotorBeam have managed to snap, probably for the first time, the Mahindra Mojo ABS with testing kit, hinting that the engineers of Mojo are already working on it and the model is likely to hit the public road for testing in the coming days. Going by the words of original publisher of the spy shots, Mojo will come with dual channel ABS and the ABS unit is believed to have sourced from the brand Continental. The brakes of the new version of Mojo continue to be sourced from the same Spanish component maker J Juan.

While the body kit and other features of the Mojo ABS will remain the same as the current model in the market, according to the emerging reports, there will be switchable ABS with a toggle button that will allow the user to turn on and turn off the ABS.

The power will come from the same 292cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that can churn out 27bhp at 8,000rpm and 30Nm torque at 5,500rpm. The power is transmitted via a six-speed constant mesh transmission. The Mojo ABS is likely to hit the showroom in early 2016 with a price tag slightly higher than the current version.

The Mahindra Mojo, the quarter litre motorcycle that made its India debut in October this year, was originally priced at Rs 1.58 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Mahindra increased the cost of Mojo by Rs 5,000 later and now, it has been priced at Rs 1.63 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. Offered in three colours, White, Black and Red, the Mahindra Mojo is pitted against Kawasaki Ninja 300R, Honda CBR 250R/300R and KTM Duke twins.

The Mojo measures 2,100mm in length, 800mm in width and 1165.5mm in height. The tourer has a wheelbase of 1,465 mm and seat height 814.5 mm with a ground clearance of 173.5 mm. The two-wheeler comes with a fuel tank capacity of 21-litres and has a dry weight of 165 kg.
