Mahindra Mojo 300 is well on its way and the bike has been caught on camera once again. This time the spy shots come from a dealership conclave, indicating the arrival of the highly anticipated bike in the country soon.
Rumours of Mahindra's Mojo 300 has been brewing since its first appreance at the 2010 Auto Expo, but nothing much has come of the speculations so far. Now a new report by Rushlane says that the Mojo 300 was shown to the company's dealers in the country, consolidating our belief that the launch of the bike is not far.
From what we know so far, Mojo 300 will be housing features like LED daytime running lights and a new fuel tank. The highlight of the motorcycle would be its USD (Up Side Down) forks and twin mufflers and other features expected include mudguard, Pirelli Sport Demon tyres mounted on Y-spoke black alloy wheels and LED tail-light.
Under the hood, Mahindra's new offering is likely to carry 300cc liquid cooled, 4-stroke single-cylinder engine, which can churn out a power of 27 bhp at 8000 rpm and a peak torque 25 Nm at 6500 rpm, and is likely to come coupled to a six-speed transmission. The bike will derive its stopping power from the disc brakes seen on both front and rear wheels.
Once it hits the market, the Mojo 300 will be rivalling Bajaj Pulsar CS, Pulsar SS, Kawasaki Ninja 300R, Honda CBR 250R/300R and KTM Duke 390. Though the company has not revealed any details of the Mojo 300 formally, it is expected to fall in the price range of ₹2 lakh.
In India, Mahindra will be launching its 110cc scooter, codenamed G101 next month and a new avatar of Centuro is also expected to make an appearence soon.
The scooter, which was caught testing numerous times, is likely to get power from a single-cylinder air cooled four-stroke 106.7 cc engine, which can pump in a power of 8.5 PS and peak torque of 8.5 Nm. The details are scanty at this point of time, nonetheless, rumours are rife that the new 110cc scooter will feature to get MRF Nylogrip tyres and telescopic front forks.
The new Centuro with disc brake will be called O1-D and is likely to be powered by the same Micro Chip Ignited 5-Curve (MCi-5) engine, which can churn out a peak power of 8.5 hp and a peak torque of 8.5 Nm. It will feature find-me lamps, guide-me home lamps, LED pilot lamps and engine immobiliser.
