Mahindra 2 Wheelers' 110cc scooter is reportedly ready to set foot in India in August this year.

Mahindra's first 110cc segment scooter code-named, G101, has been on test in the country for quite some time now. The company, which is looking to venture into the new segment will reportedly launch the vehicle in India in the second week of August, claims a Zigwheel report. The report also indicates that it is likely to carry a price tag of less than ₹50,000.

G101 has already been seen testing numerous times in India, but it was camouflaged heavily, thus keeping all the details under wraps.

However, from what is known, the new scooter by Mahindra will flaunt a look inspired by Blaze scooter and is likely to have a unisex design, which is similar to Honda Activa and Jupiter Sport.

There have not been any confirmations about the engine specifications of the new 110cc Mahindra scooter. However, if reports are to believed, the scooter is likely to come with a single cylinder air cooled four stroke 106.7cc engine, which can pump in a power of 8.5 PS and peak torque of 8.5 Nm, coupled to a CVT. The scooter is likely to promise fuel efficiency over 60kmpl.

Chances are the new scooter will boast features like MRF Nylogrip tyres, telescopic front forks, a new instrument console, an analogue fuel gauge and archetypal switch-gear.

When launched, the Mahindra's new entrant will compete with the current frontrunners in this segment, Honda Activa, Dio, TVS Jupiter Yamaha Ray, Alpha and Hero Maestro. Currently, Mahindra scooter range includes Rodeo RZ, Duro DZ, Kine and Flyte.

Besides G101, Mahindra will also be launching its highly-anticipated Mojo 300 and new avatar of Centuro in the country by the end of this year.

Mojo 300 is expected to pack 300cc liquid cooled, four-stroke single-cylinder engine, which can churn out a power of 27 bhp at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque 25 Nm at 6,500 rpm, and is likely to come coupled to a six-speed transmission. Other expected features include headlights with DRL (daytime running lights), mud-guard and LED tail-light.

The new Centuro with disc brake will be called O1-D and is likely to be powered by the same Micro Chip Ignited 5-Curve (MCi-5) engine, which can churn out a peak power of 8.5 hp, a peak torque of 8.5 Nm. It will feature find-me lamps, guide-me home lamps, LED pilot lamps and engine immobiliser.
