Superstar Mahesh Babu says "Brahmotsavam" is a fresh concept and it is different from "Srimanthudu," "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu" (SVSC) or any other movie.

Mahesh Babu's previous movies "Srimanthudu" and "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu" were family dramas and became huge successes. He is returning with a colourful family entertainer titled "Brahmotsavam." He is promoting it rigorously and is busy giving interviews to various TV channels, newspapers, magazines and movie portals.

Mahesh Babu encountered one question in most of the interviews: How different is "Brahmotsavam" from the earlier family entertainers. The superstar told all the interviewers the movie deals with a new subject and features him in a brand new avatar.

"'Brahmotsavam' is a fresh concept and I play a new character. It has no similarity with 'Srimanthudu' or any other film. In fact, Srikanth Addala narrated the script to me while shooting for 'Srimanthudu,' and I loved it. The groundwork for this film was laid even as I was filming 'Srimanthudu.' I'm lucky to get to do such films back-to-back," Mahesh Babu said in an interview to the New Indian Express.

The promos of "Brahmotsavam" have created a lot of curiosity among the audience, and Mahesh Babu says the film will surely live up to their expectations. "Right from the start, we have been very clear about how we wanted to project this film. Those who have seen the trailer will know exactly what to expect from it, and we haven't deviated from that image," the actor said.

"Brahmotsavam" has Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha and Pranitha as the female leads. Naresh, Sathyaraj, Jayasudha, Revathi, Rao Ramesh, Tanikella Bharani and a host of other talented artistes are in the supporting cast of the movie. Mahesh Babu has said it was a learning experience for him to work with such an ensemble cast.

"It's the first time I'm working on a film with such a huge star cast. There were about 20-25 characters on the sets. Initially, I was a bit overwhelmed, but as the shoot went on, I got used to it. It was a great experience because you get to learn a lot from senior actors and it helps you grow as an artiste," Mahesh Babu said.
