Liverpool will reportedly have to pay £14.5 million if they want to sign Villarreal forward Luciano Vietto this summer.

After enduring a disappointing season that saw then finish in the fifth place in the Premier, the Reds are reportedly looking to make major changes to their entire squad this summer.

Manager Brendan Rodgers' future at Anfield appears to be secure despite the Reds' poor performances this season, but the same cannot be said for a number of players.

Strikers Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert, who have been very disappointing after joining the Reds from AC Milan and Southampton respectively, along with Fabio Borini are expected to be offloaded this summer.

As a result the Reds are reportedly looking for a couple of new strikers who will be able to support Daniel Sturridge up front next season.

Burnley's Danny Ings, whose contract at Turf Moor will expire in June, is being heavily linked with a move to Anfield this summer.

Apart from Ings, a number of strikers including Aston Villa's Christian Benteke, Manchester United's Javier Hernandez and Manchester City's Stevan Jovetic and Edin Dzeko are also being linked with a summer move to Anfield.

But it is believed that the Reds are keener on signing Villarreal's Vietto this summer.

And, according to the Daily Express, the La Liga side have told the Reds that the striker will not be available for less than £14.5 million on his buyout clause this summer.

However, Liverpool will not be able to secure the signature of the 21-year-old striker dubbed as the "new Sergio Aguero" that easily, as his agent has confirmed that Vietto is being pursued by a number of clubs following his impressive performance -- 20 goals from 47 appearances in all competitions -- at Villarreal this season.

"We know that a lot of big clubs are watching Luciano Vietto," the player's agent Jorge Cyterszpiler told the Daily Express. "There is a lot of competition for him. I think he could leave Villarreal in the summer."
