5:55: Manchester United, who are one of the hot favourites for the Europa League title, are lucky. They have avoided all the big teams in the round of 16 draw, and will face Russian club, FC Rostov.  However, there are some interesting fixtures, and Roma's clash against Lyon is the most mouth-watering. 

Olympiakos vs Besiktas is also another mammoth fixture. Celta Vigo have also got an easy tie as they will face Krasnador. Out of the eight fixtures, two of them are derbies with Gent playing Genk and Schalke facing Borussia Monchengladbach, which should be another brilliant encounter.

5:42: Former Sweden defender Patrik Andersson pulls the first club, and it is Celta Vigo, who will face Krasnador.

It was quite a shock for football experts and fans when one heard about the surprise sacking of Ranieri, who had also won the FIFA Coach of the Year in 2016 after winning the Premier League title. 

4:30: The countdown has begun...can you hear the tick, tock...tick..tock? 

4:15: One look at all the 16 teams, and surprisingly there are three clubs from Belgium - Genk, Gent and Anderlecht. Other major European nations like Germany (Borussia Monchengladbach), England (Manchester United), Spain (Celta Vigo) and France (Lyon) have only one team each. 

3:50: What makes this draw much more interesting is that none of the teams are seeded, which means any club can play anyone. Just imagine if Manchester United draw Roma – that would be some clash. 

3:30 pm IST: All eyes will be on Manchester United – the biggest team in the round of 16 – who will they face? Not only the Red Devils, it will be interesting to see how the draw pans out for other quality teams including Besiktas, Roma and Lyon as well.
