To compete with increasing number of budget smartphone makers, LG is expanding its smartphone portfolio. Following the global launch of LG Magna, LG Leon and the LG Joy, LG silently listed LG Spirit on its India site. The new mid-range handset was originally unveiled in February. It packs interesting features, refreshed design and compelling specs.

LG Spirit features a unique design with a slight 3000R curve to bring comfort and grip to its users. It sports a 4.7-inch HD 720p display with a pixel density of 312ppi and runs on 1.3GHz quad-core processor backed by 1GB RAM. The handset has 8GB onboard storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.

The design of LG Spirit is identical to the flagship G3 smartphone with rear keys to control volume and lock. LG's proprietary camera features such as Gesture Shot, Touch and Shoot and Front Camera Light are included in the 8MP rear and 1MP front snappers. The product listing shows the Spirit smartphone will also sport Knock Code and support for Quick Circle case, which shows six apps in a circular window of a smart flip cover. Finally, powering up the handset is a 2,100mAh battery.

LG will include Android 5.0 Lollipop in its Spirit smartphone. Additionally, the handset has room for dual SIM and supports 3G network.

Available in Black and Gold, LG Spirit can be bought for Rs 14,250. But a prominent mobile dealer based in Mumbai, Mahesh Telecom, said the discounted price will be Rs 13,690, Gizbot reports.
