Hype around the LG G4 is slowly beginning to catch momentum with its release date getting closer. Expectations on the flagship device is huge following the success of its predecessor, the G3, and now reports are doing the rounds that the South Korean electronics giant is launching three variants of G4.

The LG G4 is very likely to be launched in May though speculations are doing the rounds that it would be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2015) which will start on 2 March in Barcelona.

"We rolled out the G3 in May last year so we do not plan to unveil the G4 at this year's Mobile World Congress and spend more time perfecting the new phone," an unnamed LG executive was quoted as saying by The Chosun Ilbo.

The leaked XML file has revealed the model numbers of Sony's upcoming device - the LG-F500S, the LG-F500K, and the LG-F500L - hinting that three versions of the LG G4, according to a report by My LG Phones

The LG G4 is expected to sport a 5.7 inch HD –IPS +LCD display, come packed with 3/4GB RAM with microSD card up to 128GB, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 801/802/805/808 that clocks at 3GHz, and run on Android 5.0 Lollipop, according to a report by The REM. It added that the device might house a 15 to 17MP main camera and 3 to 4MP front snapper. 

However, iKnow Today reported that the device might have features like Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 or 810 processor, a 5.5-inch or 5.9-inch display with 2/4K screen resolution, 3500 mAH battery and come with a price tag of around $650-$700.
