Leaked Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus rear panel mimics design of Mi 6Gizchina

Amid Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus launch rumours, a freshly leaked image of the handset confirmed the design language of its rear panel. The leak came from Chinese publication, Gizchina.

Just ahead of the Mi 6 launch in April, rumours claimed Mi 6 Plus would be unveiled alongside its younger sibling. But, this claim has turned out to be false as Xiaomi has not yet announced the Mi 6 Plus, despite launching the Mi 6 as per the official schedule.

Mi 6 Plus portrays a remarkable resemblance to the Mi 6 as far as the design language of its rear panel is concerned. We still have no clue about the handset's appearance on the front, but a closer look at the back panel indicates Mi 6 Plus is slightly bigger in size than the Mi 6 model.

Coming to the display size, an earlier leak from March confirmed Mi 6 Plus will indeed sport a 5.7in full HD touchscreen. The handset is expected to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 SoC and ship with 6GB of RAM.

The Mi 6 Plus is touted to arrive in two UFS 2.0 internal storage variants, 64GB and 128GB. The phone is expected to ship with a powerful 4,500mAh battery and run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box with MIUI 8 on board.
