If you are eagerly waiting for the next-gen iPhone, the official release is less than a month away. Before Apple has even confirmed the launch, rumours have strongly suggested that the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus will release on 9 September. Several specifications of the handset have leaked online and new colour options have also made quite a stir.
Amid talks of a new rose gold colour in the next iPhone, new images leaked by a Chinese publication show the iPhone 6S in pink hue. This may be a great addition, but certainly disheartening if it replaces the anticipated rose gold variant.
According to The Telegraph, which sited Chinese rumour site Daliulian.net, the iPhone 6S was pictured in its pink attire in what looks like the real unboxed images. The close-up shots of the leaked handset reveal a similar design strategy as seen in the current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus. With screen sizes measuring 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch, the new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus will don internal upgrades instead of exterior changes.
Based on the rumours so far, the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus are expected to feature a Force Touch display, first seen on Apple Watch, to understand the intensity of a touch to perform various actions. Other features include an upgraded camera sensor that will produce DSLR-like quality in images, A9 processor, sapphire glass for display, improved Siri, longer battery life, stronger build with a new grade of aluminium, iOS 9 and more.
Apple has been keen on bringing new colours in its iPhones and the new images prove the same. In 2013, the Cupertino tech giant popularised use of gold hue in smartphones, which was widely adopted by other OEMs. Rumours of rose gold colour, as seen in Apple Watch, brought more hype to the unannounced iPhone.
Apple hasn't confirmed any of the details about its new iPhones, but we will be treated with some official news next month during the grand launch.
