It appears like the folks at Rushlane have an interesting bit of information to share. Going by their latest report, it is almost certain that KTM RC250 and Duke 250 models will be produced here in India at the Bajaj-KTM Chakan plant, Pune. And it has also been revealed that the two models which we saw at the recent Motor Show were made at this plant last year.

It is not sure whether the KTM RC 250 and Duke 250 will be launched in India as there are chances of them eating into KTMs 200s share. The new duo, KTM RC 250 and Duke 250, will make its debut in Japan in June this year, with a price tag of ¥ 620,000 and ¥ 620,000, respectively.

As for oily bits, KTM RC 250 and KTM 250 Duke are expected to get the downsized version of 373 cc engine, which does duty in 390 versions. The engine can generate 31 hp of power at 9,000 rpm and 24 Nm of peak torque at 7,250 rpm currently.

KTM is also rumoured to be launching its powerful superbike 1290 Super Duke R in India by the end of this year, which is powered by a 1301cc two-cylinder four-stroke engine that can comfortably churn out a power of 177bhp.
