Austrian bike maker KTM, which is drawing up strategies to expand its foothold in India, is now reportedly planning to bring its Adventure models to India. The KTM 1190 Adventure R has been spotted at the dealership of the company in the country, fueling fresh rumours about its launch here.

Caught on camera by Indian Autos Blog reader Fernandes, KTM 1190 Adventure R is powered by a 1,195 cc V-twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which is tuned to pump in a power of 150 hp and come mated to a 6-speed transmission. Billed as the "world's safest motorcycle" by the company, KTM 1190 Adventure R gets an upside down WP suspension at the front and monoshock suspension at the rear.

It is not clear as to when the KTM is planning to roll out this adventure bike in the country; however, going by the latest report, the KTM 1190 Adventure R will be displayed soon at a dealership in India.

Previous reports had suggested that KTM will also be introducing its super bike 1290 Super Duke R in India, this year. Powered by 1301cc two-cylinder four-stroke engine, which can churn out 177bhp of power, 1290 Super Duke R will be brought to the country as a complete body unit. The bike weighs 179kg and has a tank capacity of 18-litre. KTM Super Duke R is likely to get a price tag in the range of ₹12-14 lakh in India.
