Neeraj Pandey's "MS Dhoni - The Untold Story" starring Sushant Singh Rajput seems to take all movie-goers by surprise.

After the news of cricket players from the current Indian team, making guest appearances in the film, based on the life of Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the latest buzz is that Fawad Khan is likely to be featured in the film.

Khan, who is B-Town's new heartthrob, will reportedly play the role of Virat Kohli, reported Bollywood Life.

While the makers haven't confirmed the news yet, when contacted by the daily, Pandey said: "I have signed a non-disclosure agreement and am not allowed to say anything."

If the reports are anything to go by, then with the Pakistani actor, who made his Bollywood debut with Sonam Kapoor's "Khoobsurat", playing Anushka Sharma's real-life boyfriend on-screen, it would be interesting to see the handsome actor smashing strokes with his bat just like Kohli.

Interestingly, several A-listed Bollywood stars have also been roped in to essay important characters in the films. Alia Bhatt, John Abraham, "Bigg Boss 8" winner Gautam Gulati and many others are likely to feature in the sports-based film. However, no official confirmation has been made regarding the same.

Rajput, who plays the Indian skipper in the film, has been working hard to get into the skin of the character. There were also reports that Dhoni himself had helped Rajput get the perfect style during a few rehearsals.

The film will be shot in various countries including Australia and New Zealand as well as cities like Mumbai and Delhi while a major portion will also be filmed in Dhoni's native place Ranchi.

Recently, director Pandey of "Baby" and "Special 26" fame, dedicated a song from the biopic titled "Phir Se" to the India team in ICC World Cup 2015.

Produced by Fox Star Studios and Inspired Entertainment ― an associate company of Rhiti Sports ― "MS Dhoni - The Untold Story" is scheduled to hit screens on 22 October 2015.
