Kerala box office: Mohanlal's Pulimurugan crosses Rs 1.5 crore in 11 days at Kochi multiplexes

Going by the tremendous collection, it seems like Mohanlal's Pulimurugan is un-stoppable in creating records at the Kerala box office.

Pulimurugan has now become the fastest movie to earn Rs 1.5 crore from the multiplexes in Kochi alone, and the action thriller, helmed by Vysakh, has made a total collection of Rs 1.51 crore within 11 days of its theatrical run in six multiplexes in the city. The 11th day collection of the Mohanlal-starrer is said to be Rs 12.04 lakh from the multiplexes.

The movie had 10 housefull shows on Monday despite being a weekday with an average theatre occupancy of 74.73 percent. As of now, the movie had 298 housefull shows after completing 11 days. The action thriller had also become the fastest movie to enter Rs 1 crore club at the multiplexes within eight days becoming the third Mohanlal-starrer to earn this amount there after completing 323 shows.

Not just this, Pulimurugan has also been tagged as the fastest Malayalam movie to earn Rs 20 crore within three days at the Kerala box office. Trade analysts expect Pulimurugan to earn Rs 50 crore from the worldwide box office following the path of the superstar's recent crime thriller Oppam, which is said to have already achieved this feat.

Meanwhile, the big-budget thriller Pulimurugan, produced by Tomichan Mulakupaadam, is being dubbed in Telugu as Manyam Puli and has been scheduled to hit the screens on October 21. Due to the fabulous response it garners from the Malayalam audience, the movie will also be dubbed and remade in different languages.
