Malayalam films released during Christmas are going steady and making good collections at the Kerala box office. Dulquer Salmaan-Parvathy's "Charlie", Manju Warrier-Master Sanoop Santhosh's "Jo and the Boy", Dileep's "Two Countries", Dhyan Sreenivasan's "Adi Kapyare Kootamani" and Unni Mukundan's "Style" locked horns at the box office as they released either on 24 or 25 December.

Among the five films released this festive season, Dulquer's "Charlie" ruled the Kerala box office and made tremendous collections since its opening day. The Martin Prakkat directorial created records by collecting more than Rs 2.15 crore on its release day. Earlier, it was Mohanlal starrer "Loham", which collected Rs. 2.20 crore on the first day. 

Sources close to the film "Charlie" have stated that the film has grossed more than Rs 6.86 crore within four days of its release. The movie was released in nearly 97 screens in Kerala alone on Thursday and on Friday, it was released in 76 screens outside Kerala. "Charlie" will be released across Europe on 1 January.

Meanwhile, Dileep and Mamta Mohandas starrer "Two Countries" is also running successfully in theatres in Kerala and has grossed Rs. 3.62 crore within three days of its release.

Dhyan Sreenivasan, Aju Varghese, Neeraj Madhav and Namitha Pramod's "Adi Kapyare Kootamani" is also making a good business by collecting Rs 2.24 crore in three days.

However, even after getting good response from the critics, Manju's "Jo and the Boy" has reportedly grossed only Rs 1.56 crore from four days of its theatrical run.
