If the latest reports are to be believed, the release of "Kaththi" Telugu dubbed version has been put on hold once again.
Following the stupendous success of "Kaththi" Tamil version, starring Vijay and Samantha, there were speculations doing the rounds that the film will be remade in Telugu. Producer Madhu, who has acquired the Telugu dubbing rights of the film, arranged a special screening of "Kaththi" for "Power Star" Pawan Kalyan.
Although Pawan liked the film, he reportedly rejected the idea of remaking as he felt the subject might not suit his image. Later it was said "Kaththi" Telugu dubbed version will release on 21 November.
Now, reports have emerged that the film's release has been put on hold once again as the makers are hoping to remake the Vijay starrer in Telugu. Actors Allu Arjun and Jr NTR have reportedly shown interest in watching "Kaththi", which have raised hopes of a possible remake.
Both the actors will be watching the film by the end of this month. Jr NTR, who is currently busy shooting for Puri Jagannadh's directorial in Goa, is expected to watch the film on 23 or 24 November, reported Behindwoods.
Whether "Kaththi" will be remade or the Telugu dubbed version will release is something we will know in a few days' time. If the remake is not happening, the Telugu dubbed version is expected to release on or after 28 November, reported Andhraboxoffice.
Directed by AR Murugadoss, "Kaththi" is an action thriller flick with Vijay appearing in dual roles – as an activist and as a small-time thief. Samantha plays the female lead, while Bollywood actor Neil Nithin Mukesh and Sathish of "Ethir Neechal" fame appear in supporting roles.
"Kaththi", which hit the screens on 22 October, emerged as a big hit at the box office. The action entertainer minted more than ₹100 crore in just 19 days and continues to perform decent business even in its fourth week.
The Vijay starrer completed 25-day run in several theatres on 15 November and is expected to complete the 50-day run in a few screens next month.
