Sharing anything without verifying the authenticity of the content has become a fashion on social media. But it is high time that people refrain from sharing fake multimedia and here's why.

Karnataka Police on Tuesday, May 2, arrested two people, including the administrator of a WhatsApp group, for sharing objectionable content against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Krishna Sanna Thamma Naik, the group admin of 'The Balse Boys,' and Ganesh, a group member who posted a picture of PM Modi with obscene content last month, were arrested after a complaint was filed by a resident of Bhatkal in Uttara Kannada district.

While Ganesh has been released on bail, Krishna of Doddabalse, has been remanded in judicial custody. The third accused, identified as Balakrishna, is yet to be arrested.
