Ace directors SS Rajamouli and Ram Gopal Varma praised actor Varun Tej and director Krish aka Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi after watching the theatrical trailer of their upcoming movie "Kanche".

Written by Krish and Sai Madhav Burra, "Kanche" is a romantic drama set during World War II. Millions of Indian soldiers lost their lives in World War II, which took place 75 years ago. Unfortunately, their sacrifice has not been highlighted in the history and this movie showcases the contribution of Indian soldiers.

"Kanche" is an emotional and intense love story of a young soldier named Dhoopati Hari Babu and Rachakonda Seetha Devi. Varun Tej plays Hari Babu, who fought against Germany, while debutante Pragya Jaiswal appears as Seetha Devi. The amazing chemistry between the two is going to be one of the main highlights of the film.

The war sequences of "Kanche" have been shot in Georgia and Russia. In a bid to make the film more realistic, director Krish hired soldiers from different ethnic groups, and real guns and tanks that were actually used in the war. The battle scenes are going to be another major highlight of the film. Chirantan Bhatt, who is making his Tollywood debut with the flick, has composed the music for the movie.

"Kanche" has been jointly produced by Saibabu Jagarlamudi and Y Rajeev Reddy, who unleashed its theatrical trailer on the official YouTube channel of their banner, First Frame Entertainment, on 31 August. Within hours of its release, SS Rajamouli and Ram Gopal Varma tweeted about it.
