After the success of "Bajrangi Bhaijaan", director Kabir Khan is ready with his upcoming film "Phantom". While "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" was an emotional take on the relationship between India and Pakistan, "Phantom" is an action-packed drama.

The trailer of "Phantom" starring Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif was released recently and soon some adverse reactions started pouring in from the neighbouring country, which apparently thinks the movie is 'anti-Pakistan'.

It has been learnt that some film-makers in Pakistan are calling Kabir Khan's "Phantom" as 'anti-Pakistan'. However, the director claims that the film is not 'anti-Pakistan' but 'anti-terrorism'.

"What you see in the trailer of 'Phantom' is not anti-Pakistan. It is anti-terrorism. Pakistan is even more traumatised by terror attacks than we are. Terrorists attacked little children in Peshawar some time ago. It can't get any more brutal and lowdown than that. 'Phantom' talks about bringing to book the perpetrators of the 26/11 attack in Mumbai. I repeat, we are not attacking Pakistan. 'Phantom' is in fact saying the same thing about India's relations with Pakistan that 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' said. Eliminate hatred," Pinkvilla quoted Kabir Khan as saying.

"There is no singing and dancing in 'Phantom'. It would look very odd if Saif and Katrina took song breaks in this film. This is a different kind of cinema from 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', though we hope it would be equally acceptable to the audience," Kabir Khan further said.

The movie "Phantom" happens to an adaptation of the novel "Mumbai Avengers" by Hussain Zaidi and highlights the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack and global terrorism. The trailer of the film suggested that it will be a hard-core action flick. The movie is slated to be released on 28 August.
