"Jurassic World", which is the latest instalment in the "Jurassic Park" film series released by Universal Pictures on 12 June, has already broken many box-office records. It even became the first film ever to cross $500 million in worldwide collections in the first weekend.

Along with these, "Jurassic World" also shares records with "The Avengers" for the fastest film to reach $100 million (2 days), $150 million (2 days) and $200 million (3 days) at the North American box office. However, when it comes to the cumulative gross through each successive days, "Jurassic World" is ahead of "The Avengers".

Meanwhile, Marvel congratulated the "Jurassic World" team that took over the spot held by "The Avengers" since 2012.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige sent a congratulatory tweet, wherein Owen (Chris Pratt) is riding the T-Rex as the Avengers look on. T-Rex is also seen holding Thor's Hammer, as Thor points in confusion.

The photo was captioned, "Congrats Mr. Spielberg @UniversalPics @Legendary @LeDoctor @colintrevorrow and especially @prattprattpratt."

@prattprattpratt is the Twitter handle of actor Chris Pratt, who potrayed Peter Quill/Star-Lord in "Guardians of the Galaxy" and will reprise the role in the upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy 2".
