The audio launch of Vikram starrer "I" (Telugu version) is all set to take place in a grand manner next month. Film's producer Aascar Ravichandran is planning to invite several bigwigs from the film industry for the music release event.
According to a source, Hollywood actor Jackie Chan might attend the audio launch function. Telugu actor-politician Chiranjeevi and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) might also grace occasion, reported Deccan Chronicle.
"Jackie Chan will confirm his participation in a day or two and there are plans to host the event in a grand manner," NV Prasad, who has acquired the Telugu rights of "I", told the daily.
An official announcement on the guest list and the venue is still awaited. If Jackie Chan's presence his confirmed, it will be the second time that the actor will be attending an audio launch of a film produced by Aascar Ravichandran.
It may be recalled that Chan attended the music release function of Kamal Haasan's "Dasavatharam" a few years ago. The big budget entertainer was also produced by Ravichandran.
A few days ago, the producer had organised the audio launch of "I" Tamil version in a grand manner. The event was attended by "Terminator" actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, superstar Rajinikanth, Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar, Vikram, Shankar and AR Rahman among others.
The audio launch function was a big success and received overwhelming response from fans. The presence of big stars gave the film a boost in terms of publicity.
"I" audio and the teaser, which was also released during the event, turned out to be a massive hit. The teaser has fetched more than 60 lakh views and is expected to surpass the one crore mark soon.
"I" producer is also planning to hold an audio launch for its Hindi version in Mumbai. There is a buzz that "Rambo" actor Sylvester Stallone" might be attending the music release function. However, there is no official confirmation in this regard.
Directed by Shankar, "I" is a romantic thriller with Vikram appearing in different looks including a beast-like creature, a crippled man, a stylish-looking guy and a body builder. Amy Jackson of "Madarasapattinam" fame plays the female lead, while Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi and Bollywood actor Upen Patel are also part of the film's cast.
The shooting of "I" was recently wrapped up and the post-production work has already commenced. The film is expected to be released as a Diwali treat for the fans.
