The Indian Super League (ISL) 2015 is nearing its business end and none knew which teams would make it to the semi final until a few days ago. Atletico de Kolkata, Delhi Dynamos and the latest to join the bandwagon, FC Goa, have already qualified for the semi finals.

Now one place is up for grabs and, guess what, there are four teams battling for it. Chennaiyin FC, FC Pune City, Northeast United FC and Mumbai City FC are the four teams who will be eyeing that one place in the semis.

Let us look at who amongst them can make it to the semis:

Chennaiyin FC: The Super Machans have the best chance of making it to the semi final of the ISL 2015. They have 16 points from 12 games. If they win both their remaining games against Mumbai City FC and FC Pune City, they will comfortably make it to the semis. Also if they can manage one win and a draw from these two matches, that will also power them to the semi finals of the ISL 2015 as they have best goal difference among the other three teams.

FC Pune City: The Stallions have 15 points from 12 matches so far. In order to secure that empty slot in the semi final of the ISL 2015, they will have to look for two straight wins against Chennaiyin FC and Northeast United FC. The way they started their campaign, one would have thought that this team will make it to the semi finals rather easily. Their away matches hurt them badly throughout the tournament and that removed them from the top of the table as well.

Northeast United FC: They will be playing their last league game against FC Pune City and they will have to win that game. Second, they should also try and mend their poor goal difference (-6) in that match against the Stallions. Last but not the least - if the Highlanders win against FC Pune City, then they will reach 20 points in their 14 games. Then they will have to wait for Chennaiyin FC to lose both their remaining games. If all this happens, then only John Abraham and his boys can make it to the semi finals of the ISL 2015.

Mumbai City FC: Nicolas Anelka and his men in Blue have the faintest of chances of making to the semi finals of the ISL 2015. At this moment, they are on 13 points from 12 games and their goal difference is the worst among the other three teams (-8). One would feel they have the toughest remaining fixtures as they will have to play Chennaiyin FC and Atletico de Kolkata. Not only do they have to win these two crunch games but also they will have wait for the other results. Northeast United FC have to lose against FC Pune City and Chennaiyin FC should draw against the Stallions. Then only Mumbai City FC will enter the semi finals of the ISL 2015. Looking at their form, it looks a bit difficult for Anelka and his boys.

One thing that the fans can rest assured is that the remaining games in this league stage of the ISL 2015 are absolutely crucial and they can expect plenty of entertainment.
