Apple's Next iPhone To Feature Water Resistance: ReportReuters

Speculations on Apple's upcoming flagship smartphone dubbed as the iPhone 7 have started doing the rounds though its predecessor, the iPhone 6 was released not long ago. The upcoming next-generation device is also expected to come with good features.

The Cupertino giant is very unlikely to officially reveal the release date of its next flagship device until it is unveiled but several reports have suggested that it would see the light of day in September this year, as its predecessor will complete 1-year cycle by that time.

Interestingly, a report by The Fuse Joplin has claimed that the device could be released on 9 September. However, credibility of the report could come under scrutiny, as Apple Inc. rarely reveal any detail about its products until the time of release.

The flagship smartphone is expected to have chassis made of liquid metal and protected by sapphire crystal glass, come packed with 2GB RAM, and house a 14MP main camera and 4MP front snapper, according to a report by EMSOne (via TechnoBuffalo).

John Gruber had claimed on one of The Talk Show (via The Tech Block) episodes that Apple was working on its upcoming smartphone's camera that will enable users to take high quality pictures.

It is also reported that the device will be powered by A9 processor. According to a report by The Inquirer, Samsung Electronics will supply 75% of the A9 chips to Apple's iPhone 7.

It may be mentioned that iPhone 6 was designed by Apple Inc. but was powered by A8 chips supplied by Taiwan's TSMC.
