Apple Inc. is tight-lipped on its upcoming device and its release date but that has provided more room for speculation. Now, more specifications of the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus have been leaked, hinting that its launch is imminent.

Interestingly, the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are receiving more hype than the iPhone 7 of late, and it could be taken as a hint that release date of the latter could be pushed to 2016. Apple Insider had earlier reported that Apple might unveil the iPhone 6s, and perhaps the iPhone 6s Plus with Apple SIM (universal SIM card) pre-installed in September this year, which means launch of the iPhone 7 could delayed.

However, nothing is confirmed as of now as there is another report doing the rounds that both the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 7 could be released this year.

Meanwhile, a report by Business Insider citing research data from Citi Research has confirmed some major specifications of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. It claimed that the upcoming device will sport a 4.7 and 5.5-inch display, powered by A9 processor and come packed with 2GB RAM. It is expected to have features like Force Touch, 12MP camera, and stronger aluminium alloy chassis.

Several specifications of iPhone 6s revealed by Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities are similar to the ones by Citi Research. According to a report by 9to5mac, the Chinese analyst had claimed that the device might come with 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch screens, 12MP camera, A9 processor, 2GB LPDDR4, Touch ID, sapphire cover lens, rose gold color and Force Touch.
