Whether you are four or forty-four years old, "Inside Out" will make you feel all emotions like joy, sadness and most importantly, nostalgia. With this movie, Pixar maintains its reputation of creating wholesome family films that tell kids it's okay to be who you are and to embrace your uniqueness.
When you plan to go for a Pixar film, you are already prepared to feel that irritation in your eyes and wetness on your cheeks. But "Inside Out" definitely exceeds expectations and reminds you of your own childhood. During the course of the movie, there was not one adult in the hall who didn't look at the person sitting next to them and say, "So this is what was happening in my head?"
Never has a movie title been so descriptive; "Inside Out" is about the journey of a young girl named Riley (Kaitlyn Dias) and the various emotions inside her like Joy (Amy Poehler), Anger (Lewis Black), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), Fear (Bill Hader) and Disgust (Mindy Kaling). While Riley goes about life, trying to make through a difficult time in her life, the emotions in her head do not know how to cope with it.
Joy is a natural leader of the headquarters in Riley's brain and is generally capable of making sure that Riley is happy. While Disgust, Fear and Anger take their turns in telling Riley what to do, they usually keep Sadness away because... well, Sadness makes Riley sad. However, in the end, all the emotions are Riley's heroes and Riley needs all of them to live a happy, healthy life.
"Inside Out" has succeeded in realistically bringing the little voices in our head so much so that you start wondering if it is in fact an animated documentary. The special effects team deserves a special mention for making the movie so good-humoured and relatable.
In the chambers of Riley's brain, the visual effects are so beautifully done that it really does look like a separate universe that is somehow melded into the world that Riley lives in.
Pixar also has a great treat for audience at the beginning of the movie, wherein two lonely volcanoes find each other after hoping for a companion for a long, long time. The musical touched so many people, who are still raving about it.

"Inside Out" is definitely one movie that is worth watching in the theatre. Do not forget to carry a pack of tissues with you.
