One Sharma has been replaced by another as Ishant was named as the replacement for the injured Mohit for the India vs West Indies ODI series.

Mohit played in the first ODI against West Indies, which India lost handsomely by 124 runs, bowling nine overs for 61 runs without picking up a single wicket.

Ishant has been called up as his replacement and will join the India squad ahead of the second ODI which takes place at the Feroz Shah Kotla in Delhi on Saturday.

The BCCI revealed the news on their Twitter account. "Ishant Sharma to replace injured Mohit in the ongoing Micromax Cup India vs West Indies ODI series," BCCI said on Twitter.

The lanky fast bowler, who himself had injury issues during the Test series in England, has not been a part of India's ODI squad for a while now, after finding himself out of the reckoning following iffy performances.

Ishant's penchant to bowl good length deliveries irrespective of the situation caused him a lot of strife, especially in the death overs, with the batsmen, and there were plenty of them, making merry.

That led to the 26-year-old, the hero in the only Test match that India won in England, being discarded from the limited-overs setup, with the fast bowler missing the Asia Cup and the one-day series in England.

Ishant, if he gets a game against the West Indies, will be playing his first ODI match since January, and the right-armer will be keen to make as much of an impression as possible as the 2015 World Cup looms large.
